The importance of using secure passwords and changing them regularly

A strong password is one that is reasonably long (the more characters the better) with a combination of both uppercase and lowercase letters, as well as numbers and other special characters and punctuation. An example of a strong password is H<%8!5r[6.

Do not use obvious passwords such as dictionary words or your mother’s maiden name etc as these can be easily guessed and hacked.

If you need help coming up with a random password, there are several random password generators available here, here and here. If you need help remembering passwords, software such as KeePass will help you securely store and manage passwords

How to Download a MySQL Database Backup

1. Log into cPanel - http://www.cyberhostuk.net:2082
2. Click on 'Backup'
3. Click on the MySQL database you would like to back up, which is located under "Download a SQL Database Backup"
4. The server will automatically generate the backup and a few seconds later (depending on the size of the database) you will have the option to save the backup to your hard drive.
